Bookkeeper - AR Billing

About the role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to handle the daily financial data entry that keeps our business running. The core of this role is accurate, timely keying of transactions in QuickBooks — including invoicing and accounts receivable — along with processing purchase orders for various grades of materials being shipped.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain all financial transactions daily in QuickBooks with accuracy and timeliness
• Key and generate customer invoices; ensure all billing is complete, correct, and sent on time
• Manage Accounts Receivable — post payments, track outstanding balances, and follow up on past-due accounts
• Create and process Purchase Orders for various grades of materials being shipped, verifying quantities, grades, and shipping details
• Keep organized records of all entries, invoices, and POs for reconciliation and audit readiness

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting data entry experience
• Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop or Online, comfortable with daily high-volume entry
• Proven experience keying invoices and managing accounts receivable
• Experience with purchase orders in a materials, distribution, or shipping environment a plus
• Fast, accurate keyboarding skills and strong attention to detail
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
