71Above   is seeking an   Executive Sous Chef   to join our leadership team in a chef-driven, high-volume fine dining kitchen overlooking downtown Los Angeles.

The Role

• Lead and manage BOH operations during service alongside the Chef
• Train, mentor, and develop sous chefs and line cooks
• Ensure every dish meets recipe, seasoning, and plating standards
• Maintain prep systems, pars, and kitchen organization that support seamless service
• Oversee ordering, inventory, and food cost awareness
• Protect product integrity and minimize waste
• Maintain food safety and health department compliance
• Work closely with FOH leadership to ensure smooth, aligned service

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years professional kitchen experience
• 2+ years in a leadership role (Sous Chef or above)
• Experience in   high-volume, detail-driven kitchens
• Strong organizational and operational awareness
• Calm, steady leadership during busy service
• A chef who holds standards while supporting the growth of the team
