Job Description

ENGLISH:

Summary:
The Export Control Manager will manage trade compliance for the company supporting functional areas such as contracts, supply chain, engineering, and shipping. Requires expertise in Canadian and U.S. trade laws, ITAR, EAR, Wassenaar, and Canadian Controlled Goods Program. Hands-on experience implementing corporate compliance policies and procedures is essential.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement trade compliance policies in alignment with Canadian regulations.
  • Ensure proper product classification for import/export.
  • Prepare and manage export permits, re-export authorizations, and import documentation.
  • Conduct third-party screening and due diligence.
  • Deliver compliance training and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform audits, self-assessments, and corrective actions.
  • Respond to inquiries and support investigations of non-compliance.
  • Prepare compliance reports and presentations.
  • Manage trade compliance requests and logistics support as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree/diploma in commerce, business, or international trade preferred.
  • 5–10 years’ experience with U.S. ITAR/EAR and Canadian trade laws.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual (English/French) strongly preferred; excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in SAP S4 Hana and MS Office.
  • Eligible for Canadian Controlled Goods Program clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

Résumé :

Le/La responsable du contrôle des exportations assurera la conformité commerciale de l'entreprise et soutiendra les services fonctionnels tels que les contrats, la chaîne d'approvisionnement, l'ingénierie et l'expédition. Une expertise des lois commerciales canadiennes et américaines, des réglementations ITAR et EAR, de la réglementation Wassenaar et du Programme canadien des marchandises contrôlées est requise. Une expérience pratique de la mise en œuvre des politiques et procédures de conformité d'entreprise est essentielle.

Responsabilités:

  • Mettre en œuvre les politiques de conformité commerciale conformément à la réglementation canadienne.
  • Assurer la classification correcte des produits pour l’import/export.
  • Préparer et gérer les permis d’exportation, autorisations de réexportation et documents d’importation.
  • Effectuer le filtrage des tiers et la diligence raisonnable.
  • Dispenser des formations sur la conformité et maintenir des dossiers précis.
  • Réaliser des audits, auto-évaluations et actions correctives.
  • Répondre aux demandes et soutenir les enquêtes en cas de non-conformité.
  • Préparer des rapports et présentations sur la conformité.
  • Gérer les demandes liées à la conformité commerciale et le soutien logistique au besoin.

 

Qualifications:

  • Diplôme en commerce, affaires ou commerce international (préféré).
  • 5 à 10 ans d’expérience avec ITAR/EAR (États-Unis) et lois commerciales canadiennes.
  • Solides compétences analytiques, organisationnelles et en résolution de problèmes.
  • Bilinguisme (anglais/français) fortement souhaité ; excellentes compétences en communication.
  • Maîtrise de SAP S4 Hana et MS Office.
  • Admissible à l’habilitation du Programme des marchandises contrôlées du Canada.
  • Capacité à voyager jusqu’à 20 %.

 

Conditions de travail :

  • Poste en présentiel ; horaire hybride possible (jusqu’à 2 jours à distance/semaine).
  • Heures prolongées occasionnelles pour respecter les échéances.
