Summary

Come join us at Corporate HQ for Summer 2026! Our Network Engineer Internship offers students hands-on, real-world experience within the company over an 10 -12 week period. Come experience an inside in managing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure. You will work alongside experienced engineers to help maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize our network systems. This position has a target wage of $21.90 - $28.13 per hour, based on graduation year. Overtime may be available. 

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Support network documentation efforts including diagrams, IP address management, and inventory tracking.
  • Participate in network security initiatives such as access control, patching, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Learn and apply best practices in network design, security, and performance optimization.

Minimum Education

  • Must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited university in a relevant field of study. 
  • Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA or higher

Experience Requirements

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
  • Familiarity with Cisco, Aruba, or similar networking equipment is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, OpsRamp, Solarwinds).
  • Exposure to scripting or automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  • When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
  • May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company. May need to climb ladders.
