Overview
Medical Social Worker (specialty: Medical Social Work) needed for a travel assignment in Everett, WA. Start date 06/08/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay: $1,738–$1,784 per week. Guaranteed hours: 72 hours per 2-week pay period. Shift: 5x8 Days. Setting: hospital with Level II Trauma Center capabilities and two nearby campuses within 2 miles. This is a travel - temporary assignment; not local to the area.

Responsibilities
- Perform biopsychosocial assessments for adult and geriatric patients and document the plan of care
- Lead discharge planning and care coordination, including referrals to home health, DME, rehabilitation, and placement to rehab/long-term care
- Facilitate care transitions and ensure appropriate placement and follow-up after discharge
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (PT, interpretation services, social services, pharmacy, transportation) to support patient needs
- Document care plans and progress in the Epic charting system; ensure compliance with unit standards
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families, addressing barriers to care and facilitating referrals as needed
- May float to similar units and across campus locations as required to support patient care

Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or Nursing; facility will accept LMSW or LCSW with Master’s degree
- Licensure: Washington state licensure required (acceptable licenses include LICSW, LSWAIC (associate), LASW, LSWAA (associate)); verify license status before submittal; pending license acceptance may be considered per unit requirements
- Certifications: BLS required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in acute care and discharge planning/care coordination
- Technology: Epic charting experience required
- Other: Ability to work in an acute care hospital setting; willing to travel across two campus locations; weekend commitments (every other weekend); holiday coverage required (three of five holidays); not a local candidate role
