**Job Title: Weekend Activities Coordinator (Senior Living) **
**Position Summary: **
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Weekend Activities Coordinator to join our senior living community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating engaging, fun, and meaningful activities that promote social interaction, wellness, and a high quality of life for our residents. This role is pivotal in ensuring our residents enjoy an enriching and vibrant lifestyle over the weekends.
**Key Responsibilities: **
- Plan, organize, and implement a diverse range of weekend activities tailored to the interests and abilities of our senior residents.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to develop programs that enhance physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
- Facilitate group activities such as arts and crafts, music events, recreational games, and educational workshops.
- Coordinate with external vendors and volunteers for special events and programs within the community.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and seek feedback from participants to continuously improve the program offerings.
- Maintain a monthly calendar of activities, communicate schedules to residents, and promote participation.
- Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and are conducted in a secure and welcoming environment.
- Assist in the orientation of new residents to activities and encourage them to participate.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in recreation, leisure studies, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in activity planning or a related field, ideally within a senior living environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate residents.
- Creative, organized, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable to adjust to the varying needs of residents.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to event planning.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus.
