Job Description

Do you want a fun place to work and earn $15.00–$20.00 per hour, including a percentage of service charges collected from alcoholic beverage sales? Hidden Valley Orchards is looking for dynamic Bartenders to join our team and elevate the guest experience at our farm. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting delicious drinks and providing outstanding service to our visitors. Your creativity and passion for hospitality will help you delight guests at the Crate Room and enhance private events on site.

Hidden Valley Orchards operates under a Gratuity-Free Service Model for our bar program.

This means our bartenders are paid a competitive hourly wage and do not rely on traditional tipping. Guests are not expected to tip, allowing our team to focus fully on hospitality, product knowledge, and delivering a consistent, elevated experience. This model supports equitable compensation across our farm team and ensures a collaborative culture.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including a variety of cocktails, wines, and beers.
  • Engage guests with friendly and informative service, sharing knowledge about drink ingredients and the orchard's products.
  • Read guests’ limitations
  • Assist in serving complete orders including food items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring a tidy and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure the bar is well-stocked.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and effectively.
  • Adhere to all safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous bartending experience in a restaurant, bar, or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cider, beer, drink recipes, and bartending techniques.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Must be of legal drinking age; certification in responsible alcohol service is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with guests.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and manage time effectively.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items as required.

  • This position offers a starting wage range of $15.00–$20.00 per hour , based on experience, certifications, product knowledge, and demonstrated hospitality or leadership skills.
