About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing and relationship-driven community bank, is seeking a Controller (CPA required) to join its leadership team. This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to guide financial operations, enhance reporting systems, and contribute to the continued growth and stability of a respected local institution.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions in compliance with GAAP, regulatory, and internal standards.

* Manage preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

* Lead budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.

* Monitor internal controls, risk management, and compliance with banking regulations.

* Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and professional growth.

* Partner with executive leadership and auditors to maintain transparency and efficiency.

* Provide financial insights to support lending, investment, and operational strategies.

Qualifications

* CPA designation required (active license).

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).

* Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience , ideally in banking or financial services.

* Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory reporting, and internal control frameworks.

* Proven leadership and team management experience.

* Excellent communication skills with ability to partner effectively with executives, regulators, and auditors.
